The Paris Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) is an international research institution with strong roots in the human and social sciences. Its primary activity is to host top-level international researchers.

Alongside its hosting programs, the Institute offers its institutional partners platforms and projects addressing major scientific and societal challenges.

The Paris IAS implements The Socioscope research project. The Socioscope is a free, open-access and participatory directory of projects and local initiatives on food sustainability and food transitions around the world. It makes it possible to discover who is working on what, to build connections between actors, and to share and learn from good practices.

Job description
Reporting to the Project’s management, the main missions are (but are not limited to), the following:

Administrative Support: Handling day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records.

Research coordination support: Assisting in the follow up of tasks, logistics, timelines, and deliverables of the project, as well as supporting communication between project team members and partners.

Data Management: Supporting the collection, storage, and organization of research data to ensure accessibility and compliance with data protection regulations.

Information search: Conducting document and information searches, and synthesizing information to be used by other project team members.

Report Writing and Documentation: Assisting in the preparation of research reports, articles, and other documents for publication or internal use.

Technology and Resource Support: Providing support for research-related technology and resources, such as software, databases, and equipment.

Training and Development: Support the organization of training sessions and help desks for project team members.

Duration and intensity
Fixed-term 12 month contract, full-time

Profile description
Bachelor's or Master's degree, with proven administrative and coordination experience
Excellent writing and communication skills
Advanced level of French and English (written and spoken), other languages are an advantage
Proficiency in Office suite, IT literacy preferred
Excellent written expression
Sense of teamwork
Dynamic, problem-solving, creative, rigorous

Starting date
As soon as possible

Envisaged compensation
30,000 - 40,000 € per year depending on profile
Access to canteen for lunch
Reimbursement of 50% of transport pass (pass navigo)
