Round table entitled Inspiring Behavioural Change for Social Progress”, moderated by Paulius Yamin, Scientific Director of the Paris IAS, as part of World Social Progress Week organised by the International Panel on Social Progress (IPSP).

Presentation

Organised by the International Panel on Social Progress , the first edition of World Social Progress Week will be held from 27 to 31 October and is a global online gathering dedicated to promoting collective intelligence for action. This event will bring together academics, policymakers, civil society leaders, philanthropists and international organisations to explore systemic solutions to today's interconnected crises.

Organised in regional venues in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America and the Pacific, the event combines plenary sessions, thematic debates and side events on topics such as new measures of prosperity, drivers of systemic transformation, human security, global solidarity and technological change.

Paulius Yamin, Scientific Director of the Paris IAS, will moderate the round table discussion "Inspiring Behavioural Change for Social Progress" with:

  • Natalia Voutova, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia,
  • Allison Zelkowitz, Founder and Director of the Centre for Utilising Behavioural Insights for Children (CUBIC),
  • Lina Restrepo-Palza, Professor of Economics at the University of Valle (Colombia) and Associate Researcher at the Behavioural Economics Institute of the European University of Valencia,
  • Enrique Fatas, Professor of Behavioural Economics at the European University of Valencia and Director of its Behavioural Economics Institute.

The International Panel on Social Progress (IPSP) brings together a group of several hundred academics, entrepreneurs, community activists, government officials and philanthropists from around the world to identify the best opportunities for transformation and initiate fair, democratic and sustainable transition processes.
