Participation of Miruna Achim, associate professor of humanities at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Cuajimalpa, former fellow in 2023-2024 at the Paris IAS, in a round table discussion as part of a series of conferences organised in partnership between the Louvre Museum and the Quai Branly Museum-Jacques Chirac.

Presentation 

This round table explores the origins and evolution of non-European collections in national museums, delving into the history of the Louvre's collections and the creation of the Quai Branly Museum-Jacques Chirac. The discussion will highlight the contexts in which the objects were acquired, as well as the transformation of their status and the contemporary issues surrounding their presentation.
