Seminar organized by the CNRS Sciences humaines et sociales as part of the workshop Guerre et Paix, with the support of the Paris IAS.

Presentation

In June 2025, CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales published a forward-looking document setting out a vision for research in the humanities and social sciences, its challenges and its frameworks, developed in collaboration with its communities and aligned with the CNRS’s overall strategy. In this forward-looking exercise, CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales chose to explore certain priority issues in greater depth, including the theme of War and Peace, which is the focus of this seminar.

The event on 1 April therefore aims to bring together researchers specialising in this theme to take stock of current research, establish a dialogue across several sub-themes and propose a programme for future research.
