Communication dans le cadre du colloque international "NON !" organisée par la New York University in Paris avec le soutien de la Florence Gould Foundation et de la NYU Humanities Initiative.
Présentation du colloque
The conference at New York University in Paris will deal with the general concept of “NO!” It will examine the varied implications, both negative but also—and especially—positive, encapsulated in the concept of “no.” Speakers have been asked to take a broad view of their subjects, with a concentration on four general categories for analysis: a) Refusal, Rebellion, Resistance; b) Negationism; c) Philosophies of “no” and d) Literature and the concept of “no.” Questions of contemporary French or American politics will be specifically avoided, since these already fill up daily newspapers.
Organized by Tom Bishop, Yves Hersant, Philippe Roger; with Simon Critchley, Alain de Libera, François Jullien, Edwy Plenel, Frédérique Toudoire-Surlapierre, Michèle Gendreau-Massaloux, Mark Lilla, Katherine Fleming, Robert Harvey, Stéphane Foucart, Thomas Hochmann.
