The IAS is innovating in the "P'tits Volontaires" programme that the Town Hall of the 4th arrondissement is launching with the Children's Municipal Council. During 10 sessions, including three training sessions on building local resilience projects, children from all the borough's schools will be trained to become active and responsible citizens, accompanied by IAS social psychology researchers.

The Municipal Council for Children is composed of 7 school counsellors from the 7 public primary schools in the district. These advisors are working on a project to be carried out in the 4th. At the same time to become a perfect "Little Volunteer", they meet professionals who train them in saving, ecology, solidarity, the fight against discrimination and harassment. The IAS's mission will be to help them reflect and develop their citizen projects related to the risks of the 21st century.

This collaboration of the Institute follows an initial contribution during the experimentation of the "Volontaires de Paris" programme, in which the Institute had designed and implemented the "citizens-actors" component, which trains citizens to solve local problems in groups.
