Nikita Basov, 2023-2024 Paris IAS Fellow, receives the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Prize from the Alexander von Humbold Foundation.

______________

On March 22, Nikita Basov, 2023-2024 Paris IAS Fellow, Senior Lecturer in Network Analysis at the University of Manchester, was receiving laudation as the recipient of the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel research award from The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for outstanding research achievements.

The award was given, in particular, for major contributions over the past 10 years, including the pivotal role in building the field of socio-semantic network analysis and pioneering input into understanding the dual relationship between culture and social structure via innovative methodological combinations of statistical network modelling and interpretive analysis of ethnographic data on creative collectives.

The event took place as part of the Symposium for Research Award Winners in Bamberg, Germany, March 21-24, 2024.

Congratulations!
