Presentation
In the face of the environmental crisis, this interdisciplinary conference questions narratives and representations of humans in their ‘earthly’ condition, in dialogue with the natural sciences, philosophy, literature, law and the arts. Following on from the Terrestri meeting held in Naples in 2019 with Bruno Latour and Amitav Ghosh, the aim is to reflect on the narrative and conceptual transformations imposed by the ecological emergency, beyond the separation of nature and culture. Researchers and artists will explore the impact of the Anthropocene on contemporary imaginaries, the difficulties of overcoming anthropocentrism and the possibilities of a shared narrative of life.
