Bâtir un droit du changement climatique. Justice climatique, transition juste.
The Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University invites you, as part of the Young Research Incubator Project, to a symposium entitled
Bâtir un droit du changement climatique
Justice climatique, Transition juste
This event is organised and under the scientific direction of Marta Torre-Schaub (L3E Laboratory, Sorbonne Institute of Legal and Philosophical Sciences (ISJPS) and GDR ClimaLex) with the sponsorship of the SFDE and the support of the Paris IAS.
Presentation
As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement on climate change, some of the concepts set out in this text remain vague and raise more questions than they answer. Climate justice thus remains a fluid concept due to the effects of climate change itself. Our social and political configurations make it a concept in constant transformation, including in legal terms. This international day provides an opportunity for systemic and comparative reflection on climate justice and just transition. The space studied is open to climate issues and vulnerabilities on other continents, particularly the Global South. The timeframes give space to future generations. The result of a transformative research project, the approach is innovative and pioneering because it is driven by young researchers. Using a new format called an ‘incubator,’ the study day aims to exchange and debate these intersecting themes.
