Seminar organised by Humanistica, a constituent organisation of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizationswith a presentation by Matti La Mela, Associate Professor of Digital Humanities, researcher at the Uppsala Centre for Business History at Uppsala University, and 2025–2026 fellow at the Paris IAS (Riksbankens Jubileumsfond Chair).

Humanistica 2026 is the seventh edition of the international conference organised by the Francophone Association for Digital Humanities. The conference will take place at EPITA from 20 to 22 May 2026, preceded by two days of workshops on 18 and 19 May 2026.

The aim of this event is to:

  • Bring together researchers, teachers, students, and professionals in the fields of culture and heritage to discuss digital methods applied to the humanities and the social sciences;
  • Provide a space for dialogue between disciplines, practices and approaches;
  • Promote the French-speaking world of digital humanities.

The programme includes plenary lectures, presentations, workshops, poster sessions and social events to encourage discussion.
