On Wednesday 16 September 2026, the Paris Institute for Advanced Studies will open its doors to researchers in residence from all over the world, and to their families, for a day of socialising and sharing.

This day will provide an opportunity to welcome the new residents, explore the Institute’s premises together and strengthen the bonds between researchers and their families. For many, accompanied by their loved ones, this will be their first taste of their new living and working environment in the heart of Paris.

Young and old alike will be able to enjoy a programme combining discussions, activities and festive moments, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. By bringing together researchers and their families, the Paris IAS reaffirms its commitment to fostering a fulfilling community life and creating a research environment where personal and family life are fully valued.

This event is closed to the public and reserved for fellows and their families.
