Presentation

Public discourse on AI has become polarized among AI Hypers, AI Doomers, and AI Deniers. This project formalizes AI Centrism: a nuanced framework for assessing AI's current state and likely future trajectory. This work will delineate AI Centrist viewpoints on key technology and policy issues, contrasting them with the aforementioned extreme positions. The work will reflect on how to cultivate an industry, academic, and media ecosystem supporting AI Centrism as a mechanism for developing nuanced AI literacy for policymakers and end-users.
