Presentation

In the face of climate change, it is becoming urgent to rethink our relationship with aquatic environments. How can residents and built heritage coexist sustainably with these ecosystems? Drawing on history, culture, and local expertise, ecosystem-based and value-based approaches allow us to imagine more livable, sustainable, and just cities.

Carola Hein, Sahima Hamlaoui, and Maria Cellamare will guide you on a walk along the Seine to discover this often overlooked natural heritage. This exploration will be an opportunity to highlight avenues for collaboration between riverside cultural institutions, in order to build a shared narrative where heritage and ecology intertwine.

A time for awareness-raising, reflection, and exchange, to imagine together the links between culture, nature, and the urban future, in line with the Goethe-Institut's missions.

  • 5:30 pm.: Meet at the Goethe-Institut Paris and program presentation
  • 6:00 pm.: Guided walk starting from the Goethe-Institut (- Rue de la Manutention - Passerelle Debilly - Port de la Bourdonnais - Pont d'Alma - Voie Georges Pompidou - Rue de la Manutention (or via the courtyard of the Palais de Tokyo))
