Lisette Winkler studied anthropology at the University of Chile and is currently preparing a history thesis at the Centre de recherche sur les Mondes Américains (CERMA, EHESS) on "German colonisation in southern Chile before 1870. Representations and interpretations of a new space-territory in the uses of photography (1850-1945)". She worked in the Audiovisual Archives of Research (ESCoM-FMSH) where she created a portal dedicated to Latin America (Mediateca Latinoamericana Amsud).

Lisette Winkler has worked at the IEA Paris since 2011. She is responsible for the Institute's audiovisual centre and deals with filming and editing videos, as well as producing podcasts documenting the scientific endeavours of researchers. She is involved in the Institute's communication and hosts scientific meetings taking place at the Hôtel de Lauzun.
