After completing a PhD in sociology on the migration of Colombians to the United States in 2009 (I.H.E.A.L, Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3), Marion Magnan built up her experience as a research engineer at the Institut des Amériques (2009-2023), where she was in charge of administration and management. She was responsible for designing and implementing the scientific strategy of this national network working internationally, while coordinating the human, technical and financial resources needed to carry out projects.

At the Paris IAS since September 2023, she is responsible for coordinating various actions (hosting researchers in residence, organizing scientific events and developing tools for collective intelligence) and monitoring relations with academic and institutional partners.
