The IAS in Paris is an advanced research institute but also a collegial place for transdisciplinary and intersectoral conversation where major scientific and societal problems are openly explored. Over the past 10 years, the IEA of Paris has welcomed 225 residents of 44 nationalities, from 145 universities, working in 22 disciplines, selected from thousands of candidates.

A major objective this year: to encourage exchanges, across disciplinary borders, between these 23 researchers of different nationalities and cultures.
