Presentation

On 2 and 3 September 2026, the Paris Institute for Advanced Studies will welcome the first researchers from its 2026–2027 cohort.

2 September will be devoted to welcoming eight researchers on ten-month residencies and five researchers on one-month residencies, from different countries and across various disciplines within the humanities and social sciences.

On 3 September, the ten-month researchers will present their research projects at a dedicated seminar. This initial opportunity for exchange will foster interdisciplinary encounters, scholarly dialogue and the development of collaborations amongst the residents.

Over the course of the academic year, further researchers will gradually join the cohort as part of the Institute’s various residency programmes.

Through its residency programme, the Paris Institute for Advanced Studies offers researchers an environment conducive to reflection, writing and scholarly exchange. By bringing together international researchers from a variety of disciplines, the Institute encourages the circulation of knowledge and the emergence of new research perspectives.
